Thicker than water. Requires slightly more effort to drink than thin liquids.

Level 0: ThinLevel 2: Mildly Thick

Characteristics

  • Flows through a straw but takes more effort
  • Flows through a standard teat/nipple
  • Sippable from a cup

Testing Methods

IDDSI Flow Test

  1. Use a 10mL syringe (specific type required)
  2. Fill to 10mL mark
  3. Allow to flow for 10 seconds
Pass Result: 1-4mL remaining after 10 seconds
